Big Little Things

I was very pleased when I saw this 'friend of Snoopy' on my page following some 'eyes-closed doodling' a while ago. The original is a small drawing and Woodstock is a petite bird who makes a large impact in the comic strip, Peanuts.  This morning, my attention was drawn to a Jewish translation of a very short psalm. Wings in the Sky

About a year ago, I was supporting two young people who were a bit dysregulated. We were watching birds. This involved locating birds in the trees and counting them. Out of the blue, hundreds of corellas flew above us, silent and graceful. There was an artistic precision to the spectacle.  Amazed at the timing, I said to the young people, "did you see that?"  Their faces lit up and it seemed that connections were made. For me, this was a case of the divine breaking through into the everyday and it was as though I perceived it with my heart.  Tonight, my memories have brought me to the following:  The Lord has given us eyes to see with and ears to listen with.  (Proverbs).  I didn't arrive here because someone told me I had to believe something. It came from within and that is real. Photo by Anne (my sister)
